양재숲 / Yangjae Forest

양재시민의숲은 닫힌 공간이다. 지리학적으로는 사방이 막혀 있고, 개인적으로는 오랫동안 반복적으로 사진을 찍어온 공간이라 새로운 것을 발견하기 어렵기 때문이다. 그러나 아이러니하게도 닫힌 공간이기에 무한히 열린 공간이 되기도 한다. 공간은 실존하는 유한한 객체지만 그 공간을 해석하는 방법은 무한하기 때문이다. 오히려 닫힌 공간이기에 그것을 극복하기 위한 다양한 시도를 할 수 있다. 그러므로 양재시민의 숲은 나의 생활 공간이자, 휴식 공간이자, 실험실이다. 나는 이 프로젝트를 통해 닫혀있고 갇혀있는 나의 시각을 열어 새로움을 추구할 수 있는 방법을 찾고자 한다. 닫히고 한정된 공간 안에서 내 시각을 비틀고, 사물을 다르게 해석할 수 있다면 언제든 무엇에 대해서든 새로운 시각을 만드는 방법을 찾을 수 있다고 믿는다. 그러한 창의성으로부터 세상을 살아가는 지혜를 얻을 수 있게 되기를 소망한다. Yangjae Citizen's Forest is a closed space. Geologically it is a park in the city, and personally it is a place that I usually visit and take a photograph for long time. However ,ironically, the space could be expanding unlimitedly space because it is closed. The space is a physically limited object, but the interpretations about the physical object are uncountable. In fact, due to the closeness, I can challenge to look differently and break the stereotypes. Therefore, the Yangjae Citizen's Forest is my vivid place for living, resting and experimenting. From this project, I wish to find the way to fly far more than I have seen beyond my closed and limited insight. I believe that I can learn the new perspective from such a training to twist and recognize the objects. Such creativity will lead me to new world I have imagined since everything was started.
